Eugene Saar and Jack on their way to the airport

I left San Francisco on April 1st at about 12:00am PST. I haven't been able to get in touch with home yet. After nearly 24 hours of flight time and about 10 hours of waiting, I am a tired traveler.

I sent this note to Irwin the day before I departed:

"Irwin,

Thank you for everything. It has not been easy pulling this all together however it looks like we did it. Please thank everyone else for me, for the time and effort they have all put in on this event. When we next speak, with any luck it will be in person. Do take care and see you soon.

Looking forward to our next meeting.

Irwin sent this message today:

"I had gone to the airport to receive Jack last night, unfortunately the Bangkok - Kathmandu flight RA 408 was cancelled.

It is scheduled to arrive in KTM at 1300hrs [Nepal local time] which is another hour and 15 minutes. I will be going to the airport to receive him.

Will get back to you after Jack arrives. I will write to you as soon as he arrives.
